Some friends and family have gotten the full impact of it in the last
few hours, and I must say they are VERY patient.  By now, however,
they should be used to me and my toys.

I stopped at Office Depot today and bought a CanoScan LiDE 90
" C7 D$ ?0 A: X8 K3 n: B( [scanner.  For months now I\'ve been wanting a simple scanner for my
slides and photos. Every other place I went to, like Wal*Mart and
Target, only sold the printer/copier/fax/scanner units.  I already own
all of that except for the scanner and wasn\'t about to spend hundreds
of dollars for more than I need.

$ j  g1 [1 j8 ]/ U( \1 LThis scanner costing under $80 does a great job on my photos, even the
ones of me as a baby.  My slides of astronomical art by Morris Scott
+ E- `/ `4 _/ k# P, CDollens come out okay even after collecting dust for decades.  I
should be kept busy for days scanning all the photos I\'ve saved over
% Q4 a$ l' I" cthe years in an old suitcase.  Now if I could only figure out who all
those people in really old photos are!
