About us New United Goderich Inc. is the one stop shop for any repair, modification or refurbishment to airline, corporate, and private aircraft. We are located in south western Ontario, just north of London. With an international client base and our dedicated and talented employees, we take pride in providing our clients with comprehensive, flexible and affordable tools for managing their aircraft maintenance needs. We are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Controller with month end close, financial statement preparation, financial analysis, GL and sub-ledger reconciliation
- Assist in cash flow management, wire transfers, online payment
- Manage and maintain financial documents
- Assist in budget preparation
- Assist in government filing such as HST, EHT, WSIB etc.
- Provide review and backup on Bi-weekly payroll process and accounts payable
- Bring insight to guide and teach accounting clerks
- Complete assigned special projects when needed% i/ M. i4 [: q. ]# W* l
Qualifications - A bachelor’s degree in Financial Accounting required
- Completion or working towards an accounting designation (CGA/CMA/CPA) is preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of full cycle accounting experience working in a similar role
- Thorough understanding of GAAP with strong knowledge of cash flow, project finance management, internal control
- Payroll experience and T4 preparation is an asset
- Advanced skills in MS Excel
- Experience with an ERP system or an Accounting software such as Simply Accounting or SAP is strongly preferred
- Effective communicator, problem solver and an analytical thinker with a keen eye for detail
- Strong work ethic and can do attitude with ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
